BOOK REPORTS |
Go To: |
||
Book reports are worth 15% of a sophomore's English grade. To earn this entire percentage, a student must earn 30 Accelerated Reader (AR) points each quarter. Points are accumulated by correctly answering a set of computerized test questions over each book read. Tests may be taken before school, after school, or during extra class time. Tests normally take about 3-5 minutes for each 10-question test. Students may accumulate more than 30 points each quarter. Those extra points will roll over into the next quarter's points. Many students try to earn extra points to participate in the AR Points Contest. If a student does not earn all thirty points for one quarter, then they do NOT have to make up that deficit over and above the next quarter's minimum. A list of acceptable AR books is located in my classroom, in the CHS Library, and in the public library. |
