About Mrs. Rule I was raised in Chillicothe and graduated from CHS in 1985 (Lisa Sappington). After obtaining my bachelor's degree in English and Business from Oral Roberts University and master's degree in Rhetoric & Composition from the University of Missouri-Columbia, I taught at the college level for several years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1996 my husband Scott and I moved back to Chillicothe to raise our family. I taught classes and took classes at Missouri Western to finish my secondary certification and then accepted a teaching position in Carrollton. After three great years there, I came to Chilli in 2007 to teach sophomore English and Drama. My husband, Scott, is the director of marketing for Donning Company Publishers, a Walsworth subsidiary. He also runs a graphic design business called Big-Dog Studio. I have a 5th grader, Libby, and a preschooler, Emma. I also serve as the director of children's ministries at Cornerstone Church where I oversee the daycare, preschool, and all children's services.
